Did you know?
- In the last five years, ethanol production has more than doubled,
totaling more than 4 billion gallons in 2005.
- Nearly 12 percent of the U.S. corn supply was used for fuel alcohol
in 2005-06; this number is expected to exceed 21 percent in 10 years.
- The Federal Renewable Fuel Standards mandated that 4 billion gallons
of renewable fuels be used in 2006 and gradually increases
to 7.5 billion gallons in 2012.
- More than 25 states have mandates or tax incentives for
biodiesel use and production.
